Celeste McCarthy
Celeste McCarthy, RYT-500, studio director and practice owner at Protea Life, discovered yoga over twenty years ago in a search for relief of scoliosis pain. Not only did a consistent practice strengthen the muscles supporting her spine, but it helped her navigate stress as well as heal from past traumas and stuck patterns. Celeste believes in the power of yoga for everyone, no matter their flexibility or prior experience. She incorporates breathwork in her classes and encourages students to find the balance between effort and ease, whether practicing flow or holding long postures in Yin. Her classes are both challenging and empowering to new and seasoned yogis alike. Sweating in a vinyasa class or receiving gentle healing in nidra, Celeste believes in the value of yoga, mindfulness practices, and movement in daily life. Celeste earned her YTT 200 from SWIHA in 2004 and LifePower in 2016, her YTT 300 from Yogas Arc, and a 100 hour specialization in Yoga Nidra through I Am Yoga Nidra. Besides teaching and managing the studio, Celeste supports operations at Protea Life, and serves our client base through nutritional counseling and health coaching.

She has been a certified life coach for over 10 years. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and love of all things health, fitness and wellness, and making yoga and movement classes accessible to all ages and ability levels. She enjoys meeting people where they are in their health and fitness journeys and supporting them to be the best versions of themselves, both on and off the mat.

Angela Sanchez
Angela Sanchez, RYT 500, is a fifth generation Arizona native who began her regular yoga practice and fitness journey in 2008 due to minor health problems caused by stress and less-than-ideal eating habits. She discovered that a regular practice not only helped strengthen her body, but also allowed her to be the best version of herself “off the mat.” Angela completed her 200-hour YTT training at Inner Vision Yoga in 2020 and immediately began teaching around the valley. She has since earned her 300-hour YTT and continues to learn from the practice and her teaching every day. By day, Angela works a challenging corporate job and enjoys a rigorous weightlifting regimen to supplement her yoga practice. Her classes combine a love of music with fun, mindful and challenging sequences, providing time to reflect, relax and de-stress after a long day.

Bridget Fiscus
Bridget Fiscus, E-RYT | YACEP, discovered yoga over 20 years ago and has been committed to sharing her love for the practice ever since. Originally interested in yoga for its fitness benefits, she found yoga allowed her to accept imperfections and breathe through challenging moments, both on and off the mat. Bridget’s classes are an eclectic pairing of hard and the soft, making them both challenging and uplifting. She believes the practice of yoga to be one where true compassion and healing can take place within each student. Bridget strives to create a sacred and welcoming space in any environment, allowing students to feel at ease in their personal journey of self-exploration. Beginning her studies in 2008, Bridget has completed multiple teacher trainings, studying with Jonny Kest, David Williams, John Salisbury, Anton Mackey, Cheryl Oliver and Jenn Chiarelli. Whether her classes are Vinyasa, Yin, Meditation or Yoga Nidra, the intention is always to inspire each student towards their own positive growth, one breath at a time.

Lindsey Jorgensen
Lindsey Jorgensen has been in the health and wellness world for over 12 years with a heavy focus on aromatherapy for physical and emotional support. Supporting people in taking their health into their own hands through community and connection is her love language. She believes we have so much more power than we realize. Her own yoga practice started in 2006, which lead her to SWIHA (Southwest Institute of the Healing Arts) in 2020 for her 200hr YTT. She is Hatha trained but has since fallen in love with Yin yoga, breath work and meditation. Teaching Yin for the last 3 years and creating her own practice, she enjoys holding space for people to know it’s ok to slow down in this busy world. In 2022 she completed a Stretch & Flexibility Coach Certification with NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). She has loved how people who would not typically be ready to try Yoga have had a change of heart after a few Assisted Stretch Sessions. The last few years she has combined Aromatherapy, Yoga & Assisted Stretch to guide people with physical and emotional support through radical self care. She can’t wait to share space with you.

Edana Roberts
Edana Roberts, RYT 500, teaches yoga primarily in addiction and mental health communities. As someone in recovery herself, Edana finds it particularly meaningful to teach these special populations the tools of yoga to assist them in their recovery. Her path as a teacher is to guide students in creating a breath-focused moving meditation. While asana-focused yoga can be learned anywhere, Edana emphasizes the internal practice, believing it offers the greatest benefits both on and off the mat.
Her goal is to provide students with mindfulness tools, helping them practice in a way that centers only themselves, their mats, the instructor's voice, and the music guiding them. Edana is an accessible teacher for those uncertain about yoga, using fun and often loud music to fuel students through more vigorous parts of class, while creating a calm yogic environment with music to start and end classes. She also believes that louder music helps yogis feel more comfortable practicing audible breathing techniques. Although she tempers volume, Edana believes that music can elevate the practice, allowing students to "Go There" – the place where she wants them to be.

Deb Caron
Deb Caron fell in love with yoga at the age of 19 when she stumbled upon a hot yoga studio on a freezing January afternoon in downtown Boston (IFYKYK). It was love at the first drop of sweat. While her practiced ebbed and flowed as she moved through the various phases of early adult life, she quickly recognized that yoga always brought her back to home base when life took her off course. She earned her YTT 200 from LifePower in 2016 and has been sharing her deep love for yogic living ever since. Deb is passionate about helping people rediscover their own magic and connect with themselves through movement, breath, and inner reflection. She believes that yoga is for everybody and nothing is off limits when we own our personal power. Deb is also a Reiki Master and Sound Healing Practitioner. Her current favorite reminder for all us is ‘love has already won.'
